Abstract

A new diterpene glycoside, C26H44O8.H20, m.p. 225-6o, [alpha]D20 = -48o (0.l% in EtOH) was isolated from methylalcohol extract of Siegesbeckia pubescens MAKINOwhich has been used as a folk remedy for hypertensive in Korea and its chemical structure was established as (III).
